Pathankot, Punjab: In view of the upcoming Janmashtami festival, SSP Pathankot conducted a comprehensive review of security arrangements at various temples across the subdivision and city to ensure the safety and convenience of devotees.
During the inspection, the SSP assessed the deployment of police personnel, crowd-management arrangements, traffic regulation measures and other security requirements at important temple premises and surrounding areas.
Necessary directions were issued to police officers and personnel to maintain adequate security, ensure the smooth and orderly movement of devotees, and remain vigilant throughout the celebrations. Special emphasis was placed on effective crowd management and prompt response to any emergency situation.
The police were directed to maintain close coordination with temple management committees and other stakeholders so that devotees can participate in the Janmashtami celebrations in a safe, peaceful and hassle-free atmosphere.
The proactive review reflects the Pathankot Police’s commitment to public safety and peaceful festival celebrations, while ensuring that adequate security arrangements remain in place throughout the festivities.
