Madurai City, Tamil Nadu: To ensure public safety, and acting on the orders of the Director General of Police (Tamil Nadu) and under the supervision of the Madurai City Police Commissioner, foot patrols were conducted across all police precincts in the city on September 4, 2026. Led by Assistant Commissioners and Inspectors of Police, the patrol teams interacted directly with the public to gather information regarding their grievances and safety concerns. Additionally, they raised public awareness about crime prevention and the maintenance of law and order.
