Bapatla, Andhra Pradesh: Bapatla District Police have achieved a commendable breakthrough by recovering 1,572 lost and stolen mobile phones worth ₹3.14 crore through the effective use of technology and close coordination with police departments across various districts and states. The recovered phones were successfully traced and returned to their rightful owners in seven phases, bringing significant relief to the victims.
The achievement highlights the Bapatla Police’s commitment to leveraging technology, strengthening inter-state coordination, and ensuring that stolen property is recovered and restored to citizens.
Police have advised the public to immediately register lost or stolen mobile phone details on the CEIR Portal or lodge a complaint at the nearest police station. Citizens have also been cautioned against purchasing suspicious second-hand mobile phones without proper bills and supporting documents.
