Madurai, Tamil Nadu: Tamil Nadu Director General of Police Dr. Mahesh Kumar Aggarwal, IPS, visited Madurai and held discussions with Madurai City Police Commissioner S. Rajendran, IPS, and senior police officials regarding the security arrangements being made for the Meenakshi Amman Temple Maha Kumbabishekam, scheduled for September 17, 2026. He also reviewed various police operations and preventive measures undertaken by the Madurai City Police, including foot patrols.
