Srikakulam, Andhra Pradesh: Following heavy rains and gusty winds, several trees fell across the main road towards Kalingapatnam near Silagam Junction in Gara Mandal, causing traffic disruption.
Responding swiftly, District SP Shri K.V. Maheshwara Reddy, IPS, visited the affected areas and personally supervised the relief and restoration measures. The police department, in coordination with SDRF personnel, JCB operators and local police teams, immediately cleared the fallen trees and other obstructions from the roadway.
The prompt action helped restore smooth traffic movement and provided relief to motorists and the public. The District SP directed police personnel and supporting teams to remain vigilant and ensure that any road obstructions caused by adverse weather conditions are removed without delay.
The police have also advised the public to exercise caution during heavy rains and strong winds and to immediately inform the police about fallen trees or other obstructions affecting road safety.
