Srikakulam, Andhra Pradesh: Acting on the directions of District SP K.V. Maheswara Reddy, IPS, Srikakulam District Police conducted counselling sessions for individuals with criminal records, commonly known as history-sheeters, across various police station limits.
At Srikakulam II Town Police Station, the session was conducted under the supervision of Sub-Inspectors Hemanth Kumar and Haimavathi. Police officials advised the participants to maintain peace, avoid unnecessary conflicts and completely stay away from illegal and anti-social activities.
In view of the upcoming local body elections, police emphasized the importance of responsible conduct and urged them to abandon criminal tendencies, avoid harmful vices and lead a peaceful life.
Officials also made it clear that participation in criminal activities, intimidation, altercations or other unlawful acts would invite strict legal action. Continuous surveillance of individuals with criminal backgrounds will be maintained as part of preventive policing.
The initiative reflects Srikakulam Police’s focus on preventive policing, community safety and encouraging individuals with criminal records to adopt a law-abiding and peaceful way of life.
