Chennai, Tamil Nadu: The Tamil Nadu government has issued orders transferring 13 senior police officers, including IPS officers, within the state police force. K. Manivasan, Additional Chief Secretary of the Home Department, issued the official order. Under this order, the new Commissioner of Police for Salem City, the Joint Commissioner of the Intelligence Section in Chennai, and police officers from various districts and key divisions have been transferred.
Details of officers and their new assignments:
A.G. Babu, IPS, previously serving as Additional Commissioner of Police for Greater Chennai, has been appointed as the Commissioner of Police for Salem City. K. Joshi Nirmal Kumar, IPS, the former Salem City Police Commissioner, has been transferred and appointed as the Head of Police (Modernization) at the DGP office in Chennai. Dr. Santhosh Hadimani, IPS, formerly the DIG of the Salem Range, has been appointed as the Joint Commissioner (DIG) of the Intelligence Section for Greater Chennai Police. N. Devarani, IPS, previously the DIG of the Directorate of Vigilance and Anti-Corruption (DVAC), has been appointed as the DIG of the Salem Range. V. Badri Narayanan, IPS, formerly the SP of the Counter-Terrorism Wing in Coimbatore, has been appointed as the Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) for Adyar, Greater Chennai Police. A.C. Karthikeyan, who was on compulsory wait, has been appointed as the SP of the Tamil Nadu Uniformed Services Recruitment Board (TNUSRB) in Chennai. N. Mathivanan, formerly the SP of the Narcotics Intelligence Bureau (NIB-CID), has been appointed as the Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) for St. Thomas Mount (Parangimalai), Greater Chennai Police. V.R. Srinivasan, IPS, the former DCP of St. Thomas Mount , has been transferred and appointed as the Superintendent of Police (SP) for the Narcotics Intelligence Bureau CID (NIB CID) in Chennai. K. Stalin, IPS—formerly the SP of the Uniformed Services Recruitment Board—has been appointed as the SP of the CBCID (South Zone), Chennai. P. Sundaravadivel, IPS, previously the Deputy Commissioner (DC) of the Security Wing in Chennai, has been appointed as the DC for Welfare & Estate, Greater Chennai Police. Dr. V. Bhaskaran, IPS, formerly the DC of Washermanpet, Chennai, has been appointed as the DC of Salem North. Ankit Singh, IPS, previously the DC of Salem North, has been transferred to serve as the DC of Washermanpet, Greater Chennai Police. Dr. R. Stalin, IPS, who was on compulsory wait, has been appointed as the SP of the Economic Offences Wing (North Zone), Chennai. The Tamil Nadu government has announced that all these transfers and appointments come into effect immediately.
