Dindigul, Tamil Nadu: Acting on information received by Dindigul District SP Jayakumar, a police team—led by Town South Police Station Inspector Ilanchezhian and comprising Sub-Inspector Johnson and other personnel, under the supervision of Town DSP Karthik—was conducting intensive patrols and surveillance. They spotted three individuals hiding suspiciously in a bushy area opposite the electric crematorium in Vedapatti. Upon apprehending and questioning them, the police identified the individuals as Pandiyarajan (19), son of Ganesan from Murugabhavanam, Dindigul; Vimal (19), son of Maduraiveeran from Netto Street; and a 17-year-old minor. It was revealed that they were hoarding narcotic tonics and pills for sale. The police arrested the three individuals and seized 11 bottles of narcotic tonic, 360 narcotic pills, three long knives (aruvals), two mobile phones, and a two-wheeler. A case has been registered, and an investigation is underway.
