<![CDATA[Saudi riyals worth Rs 33 lakh and gold worth nearly 25 lakh in the form of jewellery like rings, bangles and pendants, and also as ingots and thin foils were seized by Customs officers in Chennai from five passengers. They had landed at the airport from Bahrain, Dubai, Malaysia and Singapore on Wednesday. The officers at Chennai airport checked these passengers including one who came from Kerala, following a tip-off, and found gold hidden inside suitcases and hand luggage, footwear, and in themselves, said the Customs officials.
