<![CDATA[A case has been filed with the Upparpet police against the board members of State Film Choreographers Association for allegedly misusing Rs.75 lakh, which was meant for the betterment of the association. Ramamurthy, a member of the Karnataka Chalanachitra Nrithya Nirdesshakara and Nirthya Kalavidara Sangha filed a complaint and based on the complaint the police registered an FIR against the president, vice president, secretary and treasurer, along with nine other members, charging them with criminal breach of trust and cheating. In his complaint, Ramamurthy said that the accused had withdrawn the money from the association violating its bylaws and without the knowledge of the members, since March last year. The members have neither been informed about the transaction nor has a meeting been convened, he alleged. In October last year when the other board members realized that the money was missing and questioned the president and his associates,they explained that the money was withdrawn to buy property for the association, but did not provide any documents to substantiate their claim. When the questions raised by the members were being avoided by the office bearers, Ramamurthy filed a cheating case against them with the Upparpet police seeking a detailed probe.]]>
