<![CDATA[Hyderabad: To mark the Bathukamma celebrations which marks the annual floral festival of Telangana, the Goshamahal stadium came alive on Friday with over 1,000 women police personnel belonging to different ranks, dressed up in their best and swaying to traditional folk songs by carrying colorful flowers. The women police officers were clapping their hands in union and singing Bathukamma songs. The ladies, starting from rank of home guard to the Additional Commissioner of Police (Crime and SIT) Ms. Shikha Geol, went around the Bathukamma in circles. Ms. Goel, who participated in the Bathukamma celebrations for the first time, said that the festival had its own charm. During the three-hour long celebration, the women police officers were dancing to the tune of the folk songs and there was a great relationship among the officers during the period. Ms Goel said that the officers tasted several authentic Telangana dishes. Hyderabad Commissioner of Police Mr. Anjani Kumar along with several other officers inaugurated the celebrations.]]>
