Agartala: Director General of Police Mr. A .K. Shukla said as he addressed a press conference at Agartala Police Headquarter that massive security arrangements have been organized across the state to conduct the upcoming Lok Sabha elections for two seats of Tripura in free and fair manner. The DGP also said that the Tripura police along with Central Armed Forces are deployed at all locations of the state to ensure free and fair election. He also said that strict instructions were issued to all District Superintendents of Police to ensure stringent legal action while handling any law and order situation. The Director General of Police also added saying that a total of 1395 non-bailable and permanent arrest warrants were executed. This was done to bind down potential troublemakers and to ensure free and fair elections. It was brought into being after the announcement of Lok Sabha election this year. He said, the Tripura Police would make a public display of the names and antecedents of criminals against whom arrest warrants were pending. This will help the public to identify the criminals and help the police in arresting the wanted persons. The names of criminals will be displayed at large.This is done to ensure a violence-free Lok Sabha elections. ]]>
