CHENNAI: Police held a woman aged 40 for murdering her husband. The accused and the deceased had been quarreling for several days over an illicit relationship. On Thursday, the situation was worsened and turned up to be different after the quarrel over the same issue. The incident took place at Vengal in Tiruvallur district. The woman had been suspecting her husband as though he was having an illicit relationship with some women working with him. On Thursday night, the accused quarreled with her husband for which she was beaten up. The woman is named after Gnanammal and her husband as Velu aged 45, a construction worker. In the early morning of Friday, Gnanammal woke up early and taking advantage of her sleeping husband, she took a grinding stone and threw it on his head and killed him. The couple had a son and a daughter. When the duo saw the dead body of their father screamed and cried aloud in the early morning. Hearing the chaotic noise of the children the neighbors rushed to the house and informed the police. The Vengal police have arrested the accused and booked her for a murder case. ]]>
