Gandhinagar: Chief Minister Anandiben Patel on Wednesday called for coordination between police forces of various states, particularly to check inter-state crime and nab criminals hiding in other states.

She said that the Gujarat government has earmarked Rs.140 crore for the modernization of the police force in the latest state budget. She said that the Centre has also allotted Rs.3000crore to the same head in the Union Budget. In a new initiative, she said Gujarat has deployed ten 24×7 Integrated Mobile Investigation Vans across the state for quick spot investigation.
