GUNTUR: The Guntur police have made a remarkable seizure of ganja with the help of information that they received and have arrested two persons and seized Rs 5 lakh worth narcotics from their possession. Based on the reliable information received the police personal arrested the accused at Market Road Centre in Tenali on Tuesday.
Guntur SP (Rural) Mr. Ch Vijaya Rao said the police raided on the accused, Kowtavarapu Sammaiah and Balagopal Kamalteja, based on the earlier information that they received stating that the accused were distributing the drug to the traders in the town. He added saying that the accused were earlier booked in five similar cases and a charge sheet was opened against them stating that they were the suspects.
The Guntur SP meanwhile requested the citizens to keep the police informed if they were aware of ganja transportation, cricket betting or any other unlawful activities. He gave the contact number through which the citizens could reach out to the police and the mobile number is 9490617767.
