KOCHI: Police officer Premalatha is adept at creativity and cracking criminal cases.
She works the District Crime Branch unit in Aluva. She first picked up the paint brush during her school days. The officer developed her liking for oil painting, with the patronage of her family and friends.
Premalatha is preparing for her first exhibition, portraying the story of Sita from the Ramayana, in a series of 25 paintings. She has made over 50 paintings on the lives of women.
“I like to search for beauty in women continues. The artistic works help me build a brighter side of life and I am lucky to have the full support of my family for this being a police officer”, she says.
“But people who know me as an artist have a tough time getting to know that I am a Police officer,” says Premalatha.]]>
