Rachakonda: A skill training program “Be First- Basic emergency first responder training” on First Aid to Rachakonda police personal has been conducted by Rachakonda Commissionerate in association with Ozone hospitals on Thursday. In the session, training was given on First Aid and CPR (Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation) skills.
Addressing the gathering, CP Mr. Mahesh M Bhagwat IPS stated that awareness over First Aid will help every policeman while performing duties and save citizens’ life in critical conditions. He mentioned the importance of the Golden hour in accidents and elaborated how First Aid saves the lives of many. CP also mentioned that Police saved many persons from suicide attempts at Lake Saroornagar. CP commended the efforts of Rachakonda Police during the Covid second wave.
He mentioned that Ozone hospitals helped two Rachakonda Police who were in critical condition and had no hopes left, to get over Covid and get back to duties. CP stated that First Aid skill training sessions were held at Rachakonda Commissionerate earlier as well and opined repetition is required every year to hone their skills. CP stated that First Aid kits have been arranged in all patrolling mobile vehicles. He stated that police perform duties amid critical situations and health plays a vital role in delivering the best services. CP stated that all the Policemen across Rachakonda Commissionerate will be given training on First Aid in the coming days. CP reiterated “health is wealth” and advised the staff to be healthy. He further stated that the health profile of every police personal will be included in their HRMS details very soon. He thanked Dr. Srinivas Reddy of Ozone hospital and the team for the training sessions.
Speaking to the staff. Admin DCP Ms. Shilpavalli stated that First Aid during the Golden hour after any accident will save the life of a victim. She opined that having awareness over First Aid skills will help every police to fulfill their responsibilities better.
Demonstrations on first aid and CPR (Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation) skills were performed by the team of Ozone hospitals and the attended staff was made involved in the sessions. Dr. Achyutha Rao, RI Vijay Anand, and other officers have also attended the training sessions.
