Dindigul: Madankumar (22) from Vedasandur Athumedu area married a girl on the pretense of love in 2023 in the area under the All Women Police Station of Dindigul district. He was arrested by the police of Vadamadurai All Women Police Station in a POCSO case, produced in court and imprisoned. In this case, while this case was being held in Dindigul Special POCSO Court, according to the instructions of Dindigul District Superintendent of Police Dr. A.Pradeep, IPS., Inspector of All Women Police Station, North Madurai Mrs. Vasantha, Court Chief Constable Mrs. Arokia Selvi and Govt on (14.05.2024) Dindigul Special Pocso Court judge sentenced Madankumar to 20 years imprisonment and fined Rs. 1000. Also, since the beginning of this year (2024), 22 POCSO cases have been given excessive sentences to criminals.
