Dehradun: In a routine check conducted by the Kotwali Patel Nagar Police, a significant arrest was made near Doon Medical College. The accused, identified as Mohd. Mahfooz, son of Dildar, a 26-year-old resident of Mukimpur Jamal Mandawar, Bijnor, was apprehended on charges of possession of narcotics. Upon a thorough search, law enforcement officers discovered 14.14 grams of smack in his possession, a highly potent and illegal drug. Additionally, a scooty, believed to have been used by the accused in connection with the drug-related activities, was also seized at the scene.
Following the arrest, Mohd. Mahfooz was immediately taken into custody and processed according to the established legal protocols. After his formal arrest, he was presented before the Hon’ble Court, where the gravity of his offenses was reviewed. Based on the evidence and circumstances, the court ordered his remand, and he was subsequently sent to jail pending further legal proceedings. The police are expected to continue their investigation into the case, possibly uncovering more details regarding the accused’s involvement in larger drug trafficking operations.
