Kasaragod: In Manjeswaram, the police have arrested Miyapadav Rahim, also known as Abdul Rahim (25), who was accused of brandishing a pistol at the police and firing shots. This recent arrest comes after he was released from six months of pre-trial detention under Kappa. The arrest was carried out by Manjeswaram Inspector Rajeesh Streetath, SI Ansar, C.M Thomas, SCPO Pratish Gopal, CPO Maraya Sanoop, Nikhil, Hariprasad, and others. Rahim’s previous arrest in February this year was for colliding with two lorries, firing at the police in Uppala during 2021, and being in possession of 12 kg of ganja. In the Manjeswaram station alone, there are around 12 pending cases against him, including attempted murder. Additionally, Rahim is also implicated in cases in Kumbala and various stations in Karnataka. So far, law enforcement has seized seven firearms from Rahim and his associates.
