Rachakonda: The facts of the case are that on 03.10.2015 at 2200 hours Saroornagar Police received a complaint from the victim age:14 years resident of Saroornagar, Ranga Reddy district in which she stated that for the past few days the accused Madyala Shiva and his friend, a Juvenile aged 17 years was following her while she was going to her school and also when she was returning back to her home and harassing her in the name of love. Further, the accused M. Shiva and the Juvenile made disturbing phone calls and harassed her. On 03.10.2015 at 1700 hrs the accused M. Shiva made a phone call and abused her in filthy language and threatened her.
Basing on the complaint a case with Cr.No. 699/2015 U/S 354-D (i), 506 IPC, SEC 11(IV) OF POCSO ACT-2012 was registered at Saroornagar Police Station. In this case the then 10. Mr. P. Jangaiah, Sub-Inspector of Police, Saroornagar Police Station, Rachakonda arrested the accused and remanded him to judicial custody, and JCL was produced before the Juvenile Board and the case is pending against him. After completion of the investigation, Mr.P. Jangaiah filed a charge sheet separately in the Hon’ble Courts. During the trial today on 16.09.2020 the Honble IX ADJ Court at LB. Nagar convicted the accused M. Shiva son of Venkataiah, age 20 years, Occ: Un-employee, R/O Shubodaya Colony, Karmanghat undergoes 2 years Rigorous Imprisonment and Imposed a fine of Rs 1500/-.
In this case the 10. Sub-inspector of Police Mr. P. Jangaiah now retired from service, Addi PP. Mrs. P. Manjula Devi and Court duty officer Mr. J. Chander of Saroornagar Police Station has attended on behalf of the prosecution.
