Rachakonda : The Rachakonda SHE-Teams booked 79 cases which include 29 FIRS, 28 petty cases and 22 counseling cases against eve teasers in the last four weeks and apprehended 111 respondent eve teasers, out of 41 majors and 70 minors. The respondent eve-teasers have attended the counseling session conducted by Rachakonda SHE teams, at the Commissioner Camp office, Alkapuri X roads, LB Nagar, along with their family members and they are counseled by the professional counselors from the Bhumika Women’s Collective (NGO). Children in conflict with law also counseled by professional psychiatrist Dr.Vasavi to bring change in their behavior.
Important cases: This is a case of sexual assault by her father. This is a case of sexually exploited by her father. The victim minor girl aged 13 studying 9th class at Kushaiguda. On 27.11.2022 when the SHE Team Kushaiguda Rachakonda Commissionerate have organized awareness program with school children at ZPHS, Kapra with regards to crime like Good Touch, Bad Touch, Eve teasing, Human trafficking cases etc., After meeting, the victim minor disclosed whole incident to them. Further the SHE Teams came to know that the victim girl’s mother has been suffering with ill health for several years then the accused/father Dabbeta Prashanth S/o Rajamouli, age: 31 years, Occ: painter, R/o opposite to Nirikshana Payer House, IG Colony road, Cherlapally, Kapra Mandal, Medchal-Malkajgiri District intended to clear his lustful desires with victim. Accordingly, while the mother of victim was in deep sleep by swallowing pills as she is a heart patient, at that time the accused was misbehaved with victim and participated in sexual intercourse with her everyday for the last 2 years thereby threatened her not to disclose the same to anyone for which she didn’t revealed. On her complaint registered the SHE Team registered a case under POCSO Act 2012 at Kushaiguda Police Station. The accused was then arrested and remanded.
This is a case of Stalking on minor girl by the tuition Master
The complainant aged about 40 years, residing in the LB Nagar area, has a fourteen year old daughter and she is studying 10th class. He used to send her for tuition at his locality from March 2022. Wherein the accused Machavaram Venkata Srikanth Kumar, S/o Pandu Ranga Rao, Age: 40, Occ: Private Teacher, R/o Road No. 1, Kethana Avenue, near Vasanth Vihar, Bandlaguda, Nagole, LB Nagar. The tuition master, while teaching subjects, moved closely with the minor girl and took her phone number, she gave her phone as he is her tutition master. The accused/ tuition mater started sending text messages in abusive way to the victim child via Telegram App and communicated with her through Gmail and was harassing her psychologically and forced her to love and to perform marriage. By knowing these messages the complainant warned the accused, due to which he did not sent any messages for some days. After he started sending messages through Telegram App and Gmail and was harassing her on the pretext of love and marriage. On her father’s complaint registered a case under POCSO Act 2012 at LB Nagar Police Station and the accused was arrested and remanded.
DECOY Operations by SHE teams:-
Bhongir Team: SHE Team Bhongir conducted decoy operations in the area and booked 2 counseling cases and apprehended 9 minor boys/respondents who were creating nuisance and eve teasing girls by making indecent sings. Hence conducted Counselling.
Choutuppal Team: SHE Team Choutuppal conducted decoy operation and in the area, booked 5 counseling cases and apprehended 9 minor boys/respondents who were creating nuisance and eve teasing girls by making indecent sings. Hence conducted Counselling.
Ibrahimpatnam Team: SHE Team Ibrahimpatnam conducted decoy operations at Ibrahimpatnam area, booked 3 cases and caught 9 minors/respondents while roaming unnecessarily and eve teasing girls in the area. Hence conducted Counselling.
Kushaiguda She Team: SHE Team Kushaiguda conducted decoy operations at Kushaiguda area, booked 3 counseling cases and caught 16 minors/respondents while roaming unnecessarily and eve teasing girls in the area. Hence conducted Counselling.
LB Nagar She Team: SHE Team LB Nagar conducted decoy operations in the area, booked 3 counselling cases and caught 13 minors/respondents while roaming unnecessarily and eve teasing girls in the area. Hence conducted Counselling.
Malkajgiri She Team: SHE Team Malkajgiri conducted decoy operations in the area, booked 3 counselling cases and caught 6 minors/respondents while roaming unnecessarily and eve teasing girls in the area. Hence conducted Counselling.
Vanasthalipuram She Team:
She Team Vanasthalipuram conducted decoy operations in the area, booked 4 cases and 5 minors/respondents while roaming unnecessarily and eve teasing girls in the area. Hence conducted Counselling.
Metro Decoy: SHE Teams conducted Decoy operation and observation in Metro trains and caught 7 persons who intruded to ladies compartment and they were fined by the metro station master.
1 Child marriage was prevented by SHE Team Rachakonda.
Rachakonda SHE teams under the Leadership of Mr. Mahesh M Bhagwat, IPS, Commissioner of Police, Rachakonda and with the cooperation of the Self – Help groups awareness programs were taken up by the SHE Teams Rachakonda to bring awareness among the common people in Prohibition of Child Marriages. In this awareness programs the SHE Teams Rachakonda made the public to understand the problems of child marriages and the child marriages alarming in rural areas.
As a success of the above awareness programs in the last two month Rachakonda SHE Team Stopped 1 child marriage by Bhongir SHE Team. As on today total 156 Child marriages have been stopped by Rachakonda SHE Teams and rescued 156 minor girls from Social evil i.e., child marriages that were planned to be performed at different places by their parents.
In addition to the above, in the last six weeks total 111 Eve teasers were caught by Rachakonda SHE Teams in decoy operations and through WhatsApp/SMUC complaints from different areas of Rachakonda while they are teasing girls at different Hotspots like Metro train/ junctions/ Bus stops/Working Places and colleges of the Rachakonda area. All are booked under petty cases/FIRs and counseled by professional counselors of BHUMIKA WOMEN’S COLLECTIVE in the presence of their family members. Minors will be counseled by Chief Consultant Psychologist.
