A Blood Donation camp was organized by the Eastern Fleet onboard INS Jalashwa on 14 October 2022, as part of the Navy Day 2022 Celebrations. Rear Admiral Sanjay Bhalla, Flag Officer Commanding Eastern Fleet inaugurated the event and was first amongst the over 300 blood donors at the camp.
Lieutenant Commander Vipin Sheoran, a Naval Pilot from INS Shikra, was felicitated by Vice Admiral K Swaminathan, COS WNC, for his stupendous achievement of running an ultra-marathon of 75 km on Helicopter Landing Deck of INS Trikand. The run has been registered in the India Book of Records.
