Almora: Law enforcement authorities intensified action against drivers who compromise the visibility of other motorists by using colored lights on their vehicles. In a recent operation, the team from Danya police station in Almora District took stringent measures under the Motor Vehicles Act against two individuals—one driving a car and another riding a motorcycle—both of whom had installed unauthorized multi-colored lights on their vehicles. These lights, often creating a blur effect and distracting other drivers, were deemed unsafe for road usage. As part of the enforcement, the police promptly removed the lights on the spot, ensuring compliance with road safety regulations. This crackdown is part of a larger ongoing effort to curb the dangerous trend of modifying vehicles with distracting lighting that poses a risk to road safety.
