Chennai: During the curfew period announced by the Tamil Nadu government, 15 cases were registered on 14.11.2021 for violating the corona curfew rules, and 47 two-wheelers were seized. Cases have also been registered against 107 persons who did not wear masks and 2 persons who did not observe social space. In order to prevent the spread of coronavirus infection, the Government of Tamil Nadu has issued a full curfew order from 10.05.2021 and the Government of Tamil Nadu has issued a curfew from 21.06.2021 in the morning. It has been announced that the curfew with relaxation will continue till 30.11.2021. In this regard, on the orders of the Chennai Metropolitan Police Commissioner Mr. Sankar Jiwal, IPS, various arrangements have been made to intensify the curfew with proper relaxation.
In this regard, 13 vehicle check posts have been set up at 12 police district boundaries in Chennai metropolis and vehicle inspection posts have been set up at all police station boundaries and appropriate action is being taken against the public and motorists violating the Corona Prevention Guidelines of the Government of Tamil Nadu. Following this, during the vehicle inspection and patrol monitoring test conducted by the Chennai Metropolitan Police on 14.11.2021, 15 cases were registered and 47 two-wheelers were seized for violating the Corona guidelines. In addition, cases have been registered against 107 persons who went without wearing a mask and 2 persons who did not observe the social distance. The Chennai Metropolitan Police is requesting the public to follow the curfew guidelines of the Tamil Nadu government to prevent corona infection.
