Karnataka, Bangalore: A distressing incident has unfolded involving television actress Deepika Das, as her mother Padmalatha filed a police complaint about a series of threatening and abusive phone calls. The unidentified caller, later identified as Yashwanth, contacted the family in the middle of the night, using threatening language and making serious allegations against Deepika Das and her husband Deepak Kumar, who had recently returned from a trip to England.
The caller leveled multiple accusations, including claims of illegal activities by her son-in-law and alleged corporate fraud by her employer. In a disturbing turn of events, the caller demanded money and threatened to damage the family’s reputation, even going so far as to suggest writing a suicide note. When confronted, Deepika Das firmly denied these allegations, particularly rejecting any reference to Puneet Rajkumar and insisting that the claims were entirely false.
Responding to the escalating harassment, Padmalatha filed an official complaint with the Madanayakanahalli police station in Bangalore. The police have initiated an investigation and are actively searching for Yashwanth, the person behind these threatening calls. The incident highlights the serious nature of harassment and extortion attempts faced by public figures, with law enforcement working to ensure the safety and dignity of the affected family.
