Srikakulam: In a concerted effort, the Srikakulam Anti Human Trafficking Unit (AHTU) Police partnered with the dedicated team from Bachpan Bachao Andolan (BBA) to meticulously execute a rescue operation along Amadalavalasa Road. The primary objective of this collaborative initiative was to eradicate instances of child labor prevalent in the area. Their joint efforts led to the discovery of two child laborers in close proximity to a borewell vehicle near Ragolu.
Following the successful rescue operation, the rescued children were promptly brought before the esteemed Child Welfare Committee (CWC). This committee, vested with the responsibility of safeguarding the welfare and rights of children, played a pivotal role in assessing the situation. The Child Welfare Committee’s thorough examination culminated in the issuance of specific directives and orders.
In strict adherence to the CWC’s instructions, the necessary steps and measures were diligently implemented to ensure the well-being and future prospects of the rescued children. This collaborative endeavor between the Srikakulam AHTU Police, BBA, and the Child Welfare Committee exemplifies a collective commitment to combating child labor and promoting the fundamental rights and dignity of every child in the community.
