Chikkamagaluru, Karnataka: The ‘Akka Pade’ initiative was formally launched today at the District Police Office, Chikkamagaluru**, by Shri Jitendra Kumar Dayma, IPS, Superintendent of Police, and Smt. H. S. Keerthana, IAS, Chief Executive Officer, Zilla Panchayat.
The primary objective of Akka Pade is to provide immediate protection and support to vulnerable women and children who are at risk or in distress. Rooted in compassion, community service, and proactive policing, the initiative will function both as a responsive safety unit and an awareness-building force within society.
Through timely intervention, guidance, and outreach activities, Akka Pade aims to strengthen trust between the police and the community while ensuring a safer and more supportive environment for women and children across the district.
