Alappuzha, Kerala: District Police Chief Sri M.P. Mohanachandran, IPS flagged off 18 newly inducted Bolero vehicles allotted to the Alappuzha District Police at a ceremony held at the District Police Headquarters.
These vehicles, procured under the Kerala Police’s phased replacement programme, are aimed at replacing obsolete vehicles and strengthening police mobility, response time, and overall infrastructure. The initiative reflects the department’s commitment to equipping the force with modern resources for more effective law enforcement and improved public service.
Out of the 18 vehicles, 10 Boleros have been allotted to police stations including Alappuzha South, Mannancheri, Pulinkunnu, Kainadi, Cherthala, Kayamkulam, Haripad, Chengannur, Mannar, and Nooranad, while the remaining 8 vehicles have been allocated to the district control room to enhance emergency response capabilities.
The induction of these vehicles is expected to significantly boost field operations, emergency response, and public safety services across the district.
The function was attended by Alappuzha North ISHO Sri M.K. Rajesh, Alappuzha South Sub-Inspector Sri Rajeev, M.T Sub-Inspector Sri Jijo Joseph George, SI Sri Prakash, and other police officers.
The Alappuzha District Police reaffirm their commitment to efficient, responsive, and people-centric policing through continuous infrastructure upgrades.
