Siliguri: CP Siliguri, Mr. Gaurav Sharma IPS had earlier announced that for the safety and security of our senior citizens who are Samman-er-Baari members, an alarm system shall be provided at their houses by which, in case of any emergency (medical or otherwise), at the click of a button, they can alert the neighborhood, who can further contact local police or rush to their help. This is very useful when they are alone, in panic and not able to use or get response through mobile phones.
Today, Mr. Joy Tudu IPS, DCP East and Dr. Kunwar Bhushan IPS, DCP West kick started the exercise with the first phase of installation in their respective zones. We aim to complete the installation at the house of all the willing members and beseech the support of the neighborhood to join us in taking care of them, especially in their hour of need.
