Idukki, Kerala: As part of community outreach and women’s safety initiatives, the Idukki District Police organized a self-defence training programme at Vazhavara Government High School, in connection with the seven-day co-existence camp of the NSS unit at Kattappana Government Tribal Higher Secondary School.
The training was conducted under the leadership of Assistant Sub-Inspector Sophia K.S., Senior Civil Police Officer Pratheesh K.G., and Bindu Mol T.G., who are certified self-defence trainers of the district police. The programme was led by women police personnel under the Janamaithri Surakshapadthiya scheme, reflecting the department’s commitment to empowering students and the community.
