Uttarakhand, Almora: In a decisive move to strengthen public safety, Almora Police, under the strict directive of SSP Almora, have intensified action against individuals neglecting mandatory verifications. Demonstrating their commitment, the Kotwali Almora team imposed a fine of Rs.10,000 on a local furniture shop owner for employing a carpenter without proper verification.
The operation, conducted on April 18, 2025, was led by Kotwali Inspector Shri Yogesh Chandra Upadhyay and Dharanaula Outpost In-Charge Shri Anand Ballabh Kashmira. The team carried out a thorough verification campaign in the Dharanaula area, during which they identified the violation.
The action was taken under Section 83 of the Police Act, reflecting the department’s zero-tolerance policy towards lapses that could compromise community security.
The initiative has been widely appreciated as a step towards promoting accountability and ensuring a safer environment for all residents.
