Ernakulam Rural: Traffic restrictions and security measures have been implemented in and around Aluva town in Ernakulam Rural District from 4 pm on the 8th to 2 am the following day, in light of the Aluva Shivratri celebrations. All vehicles, including KSRTC buses, destined for Manappuram are directed to approach via Seminary Padi, using the GCDA road in front of the Ayurveda hospital. Dedicated parking areas have been designated for both KSRTC buses and private vehicles at Manappuram, with one-way traffic regulations in place. KSRTC buses and private vehicles from the Manappuram side are directed to proceed directly to Paravur Junction via Old Desam Road, also adhering to one-way traffic regulations. Thottakkattukkara Junction to Manappuram is restricted to vehicular traffic. Buses from Varappuzha, Edyar, and Thettakkatukkara intersection are instructed to turn left, drop passengers at Paravur intersection, and return via UC College, Kadungallur. Private buses from Angamali should drop passengers at Paravur junction and return. Private buses from Ernakulam via the National Highway should turn right from Pulinjode, reach the private stand via Karothukhuji, drop passengers, and return via Bank Junction – Bypass. KSRTC buses from Perumbavoor should reach the temporary stand in front of Aluva Mahatma Gandhi Town Hall via Pump Junction, with return service from there. Private buses from Perumbavoor should proceed directly through DPO Junction, Government Hospital, Karothukhuzi, and return via Bank Kavala, Bypass Metro Service Road to Pulinchod Junction. From 8 pm onwards, vehicular traffic from the National Highway side via Aluva Town should go via Karothukhuzi, Government Hospital, while traffic from Perumbavoor side to the National Highway should go via Mata Junction, Seenath, DPO Junction, Government Hospital, Karothukhuzi. Heavy vehicles from Thrissur side should proceed via Angamali to their respective destinations via MC Road. Heavy vehicles from Ernakulam should reach Paravur via Container Road from Kalamassery, Manjali Road, and proceed towards Thrissur via Athani Junction. No parking is allowed on either side of the National Highway. To ensure safety during the Shivratri rush, travelers to and from Manappuram via the footbridge are directed to use specific tracks, with strict regulations regarding street vendors and crowd management enforced by police personnel. Various measures, including police patrols, ambulance services, and CCTV surveillance, are in place to ensure public safety, overseen by District Police Chief Mr. Vaibhav Saxena IPS.
