Punjab, Amritsar Rural: The Amritsar Rural Police force has successfully dismantled a well-organized criminal module reportedly controlled by an individual identified as Prabh, who is based in Canada. This action was taken following intelligence received through classified sources. In a meticulously planned operation led by the Criminal Investigation Agency (CIA) unit of the Amritsar Rural Police, three operatives of this criminal network were apprehended. During the arrests, authorities confiscated an assortment of illegal arms, including four pistols, six magazines, and nine live cartridges, which were in the suspects’ possession.
An official First Information Report (FIR) has been lodged to formally initiate legal proceedings, and a comprehensive, in-depth investigation is currently underway. The investigative team aims to uncover the full scope of the network, focusing on identifying and apprehending other accomplices and collaborators who may be linked to this cross-border criminal network.
In line with its zero-tolerance policy toward organized crime and unlawful arms trafficking, the Punjab Police is taking decisive measures to disrupt criminal syndicates operating within the region.
