Andhra Pradesh, Anakapalli, April 26, 2025: In response to the recent terror attack in the Pahalgam area of Jammu and Kashmir, the Anakapalli District Police, under the leadership of District Superintendent of Police Sri Tuhin Sinha, IPS, have intensified security measures to ensure public safety.
Following the directives of Andhra Pradesh DGP Sri Harish Gupta, IPS, the police conducted comprehensive surprise checks at key locations, including the Anakapalli Railway Station, bus stands, lodges, hotels, and other public gathering areas. Anti-sabotage checks were carried out between 4 PM and 6 PM, focusing on suspicious individuals, newly arrived guests, and vehicles at major junctions and entry/exit points.
Special inspection teams led by SIs and ASIs were deployed at crucial checkpoints across the district:
Konam (Cheedikada Police Station limits)
Tatiparthi (Madugula Police Station limits)
Bheemavaram (Peta Police Station limits)
Errannapalem (Narsipatnam Rural Police Station limits)
Srirampuram (Devarapalli Police Station limits)
Sub-divisional Police Officers directly supervised the enforcement operations to ensure thorough coverage. District officers, including Anakapalli Subdivision DSP Smt. M. Sravani, Anakapalli Rural Circle Inspector Ji. Ashok Kumar, S.B. Inspector S. Bala Surya Rao, and Anakapalli Town SI D. Eswara Rao, actively participated in the security inspections alongside other police personnel.
SP Tuhin Sinha, IPS, emphasized the commitment of the district police to public safety and urged citizens to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities immediately. The proactive measures taken reflect the department’s unwavering dedication to maintaining peace and security across Anakapalli.
