Anakapalli, Andhra Pradesh, September 23: District Superintendent of Police Sri Tuhin Sinha, IPS, has issued strict instructions to Armed Reserve and Law & Order personnel across the district to maintain utmost vigilance during escort duties, following a recent incident of an accused escaping in East Godavari.
The SP emphasized that escort teams must be fully aware of the accused’s case details, criminal background, and crime severity before duty. He directed court constables, escort police, and prison staff to work in close coordination and ensure that all accused are handcuffed as per law.
Special instructions were given to adopt extra security measures for remand prisoners, convicted criminals, and repeat offenders. Even during vehicle halts, the accused must be under constant watch, with at least two staff members remaining fully alert.
The SP sternly warned that strict action will be taken against negligent staff. He reiterated, “Escort duties must be carried out with vigilance, legality, and commitment. Any negligence that endangers public safety will not be tolerated.”
