Speaking on the occasion, SP Tuhin Sinha, IPS, emphasized the importance of service-oriented policing, stating:
“Our prosperity goal is to enhance the prestige of the police department. This can be achieved through ethical conduct, honesty, discipline, and unwavering commitment to public service. Probationary officers must be field-ready, applying their training effectively—especially the technical skills required for modern crime investigation.”
The SP further advised the officers to embrace technology and innovation, noting that scientific methods in investigation not only improve conviction rates but also help build public trust in policing systems. He urged them to serve with transparency, impartiality, and empathy, particularly when dealing with victims.
Highlighting the next phase in their training, SP Sinha announced that each of the four probationary SIs would be assigned to different police stations across the district for practical field exposure. Their focus during this phase will be on learning police station management, case documentation, crime investigation procedures, maintaining public order, and community engagement.
During the interaction, SP Sinha encouraged the officers to remain grounded and constantly upgrade their skills, reminding them that their performance would directly reflect on the department’s public image.
The four young officers expressed gratitude for the warm reception and guidance. Their dedication and professionalism, combined with the district’s strong leadership, are expected to bring renewed energy and efficiency to grassroots policing in Anakapalli.
