Jammu and Kashmir, Anantnag: In a solemn tribute to the supreme sacrifices of the nation’s freedom fighters, a two-minute silence was observed today across all police establishments in District Anantnag. The initiative honored the martyrs who gave their lives for India’s independence.
The main event took place at the District Police Office (DPO) Anantnag, where SSP Anantnag, Shri Dr. G. V. Sundeep Chakravarthy, IPS, led officers and officials in observing the silence. The ceremony served as a heartfelt homage to the brave heroes who fought for the nation’s freedom, ensuring their sacrifices are always remembered.
Additionally, jurisdictional officers at all police stations and posts across the district led their teams of officers and jawans in observing the silence in their respective areas.
This gesture reflects Anantnag Police’s commitment to honoring the legacy of freedom fighters while fostering patriotism and respect for national heroes within the force and the community.
