Angul, Odisha, July 25: In a laudable initiative that highlights the deep commitment of the police force to community development and educational empowerment, Superintendent of Police, Angul, led a vibrant scholarship distribution ceremony organized by Credit Access Grameen Ltd. under the Grameen Vidya Scheme at the District Police Office (DPO) Conference Hall.
The event brought together police personnel, students, parents, and community members in a spirit of encouragement and recognition. The primary objective of the program was to support financially challenged but academically talented students by awarding them scholarships, thereby enabling them to pursue their studies without the burden of economic constraints.
SP Angul, who presided over the event, personally handed over scholarships to the deserving students. In his address, he shared inspiring words of encouragement, urging the students to remain focused, committed, and ambitious in their academic journey.
The SP also interacted warmly with the parents and guardians, assuring them of the police department have continued support for youth-oriented programs. Police officers from various departments were also present to show solidarity and emphasize the force’s community-first approach.
The Grameen Vidya Scheme, spearheaded by Credit Access Company, is designed to identify and assist meritorious students from rural and underprivileged backgrounds across the country. By collaborating with the Angul Police, the initiative not only reached the right beneficiaries but also sent a strong message of unity between law enforcement and the community.
