Bilaspur: On August 29, 2024, Superintendent of Police Mr. Rajnesh Singh, IPS, conducted the annual inspection of Sarkanda police station in Bilaspur, where he assessed the performance of the police force. During the inspection, the staff saluted the Superintendent, who reviewed their work and awarded PR 119 Sangeeta Netam, R. 1139 Chandra Prakash Bhardwaj, R. 1446 Deepak Sahu, R. 1388 Mahettar Kashyap, and 601 Lal Bahadur Kurre for their exemplary uniform presentation.
In his address, Mr. Singh emphasized the importance of regular parades to maintain discipline and vigilance. He instructed the staff to take applicant complaints seriously and resolve them promptly. He also stressed the need to enhance patrolling efforts, including street and foot patrols, to effectively control and prevent crime.
As part of Operation Prahar, the Superintendent directed the police to take strict action against goons, miscreants, drug addicts, gamblers, bookies, and those involved in illegal activities. He also placed significant emphasis on combating drug-related crimes, urging the force to trace and eliminate the sources of drug supply.
Mr. Singh highlighted the importance of community policing, particularly in raising public awareness and taking swift, strict action in cases involving crimes against women and children. He also directed the police station staff to ensure the systematic maintenance of records.
In preparation for the upcoming Ganeshotsav and Durgaotsav festivals, the Superintendent held a crucial meeting with sound amplifier (DJ/Dhumal) operators. The meeting focused on adhering to court, green tribunal, and administrative guidelines regarding the use of loudspeakers, emphasizing the importance of staying within prescribed time limits, permitted events, and allowed sound levels. He warned that legal action would be taken against any violations.
