Tamil Nadu, Thanjavur: A total of 589.706 kg of cannabis seized during anti-drug operations across Thanjavur, Thiruvarur, Mayiladuthurai, and Nagapattinam districts as of December 27, 2024, was destroyed by incineration. The process was carried out at Medi Care Enviro System under the jurisdiction of the Thiruvaiyaru Sub-division Chengipatti Police Station, led by Thanjavur District Police Deputy Commissioner Mr. Ziaul Haque, I.P.S., following a court order.
