HYDERABAD: Kulathonga Boopathy, a resident of Chennai was arrested by the Cyber Crime Police on Tuesday for cheating people by creating a fake government website msmerigister.com for registering micro, small and medium enterprises (MSME). When I accessed the website to register my company after filling the form I was asked to pay Rs 1,481 even after 24 hours of paying the sum and not receiving any reply through my SBI credit card I grew suspicious, a top official of a plastics manufacturing firm claimed, Police said. Police added that, “After accessing the Udhyog Aadhaar website, she learnt that the MSME doesn’t charges any fee for issuing registration certificate”.
