Bengaluru : A case was registered in the Malleswaram Police Station on the complaint of a 64-year-old woman in Malleswaram Police Station, 8th Cross that on 21-09-2023 an unknown person aged between 30 and 35 years came from behind her and took a gold chain of about 30 grams from her neck on 21-09-2023.The police who conducted the investigation checked the CC cameras on the road around the place of the crime, got the identity of the person who committed the crime, arrested the two persons involved in the crime and based on the information given by them, they succeeded in seizing the gold jewelry worth about 7.26.5 lakhs and weighing 503 grams.
The persons involved in this case were old M.O. They are persons, who have been arrested on warrant in 2 extortion cases of Jayanagar police station in October 2023 and have gone to jail. These persons are known to be involved in criminal activities for 12 years. Investigation has revealed that since his arrest, he has been involved in more than 75 extortion cases and went to jail. From the arrest of these persons, a total of 8 cases including Malleswaram Police Station-2 theft case and extortion case, general theft case, DJ Halli-1 general theft case, Mahalaxmi Layout, Yeshavantpura, Rajagopalnagar house theft case have been successfully detected.
