Tiruvarur: In Tiruvarur District, legal action has been taken against Stalin, the son of Govindan residing in the Thandatopu area of Nannilam, Peralam, Thiruvarur District. This action follows his arrest for threatening an individual with a knife and stealing money from the victim’s shirt pocket. Such incidents were reported at Eravancheri Police Stations, Mayiladuthurai District, and Balayur Police Stations, where cases related to robbery, theft, rowdyism, assault, and liquor offenses are currently pending against him. Despite these charges, Stalin is reported to be continuing his involvement in criminal activities.
The District Superintendent of Police, Mr. S. Jayakumar, M.Sc., (Agri), has issued a warning, stating that stringent measures, including the application of the Anti-Hooliganism Act, will be taken against those consistently engaging in criminal activities that disrupt public peace. Additionally, the District Superintendent of Police commended Inspector of Police Mrs. Sukuna and the police personnel for their efforts.
