Bengaluru : Two criminals who had given fake passports and financial assistance to three notorious criminals of Sri Lanka who were arrested in the city two days ago to escape abroad have fallen into the CCB trap. ASK Mansoor Ali of Chennai, Tamil Nadu and M. Anbalagan of Vivekanagar, Bangalore were arrested and 57 lakhs in cash and DD worth one and a half crore rupees were seized from the accused. During the interrogation of the arrested Sri Lankan citizens, it was found that Mansoor and Anbalagan were in contact with them. Accordingly, Joint Commissioner (Crime) said that Mansoor was arrested and brought to Chennai. SD Sharanappa said.
CCB arrested Sri Lanka’s most wanted criminals Kasan Kumar Sanka, Amil Nuwan Asanka alias Gota Silva and Rangaprasad alias Chutta, who had recently come to Bangalore illegally from their country, and Jai Paramesh of Jakkur, who had sheltered them. Sanka, Asanka and Ranga are members of Jalal Alias Siddiqui, an internationally notorious criminal and drug peddler in Sri Lanka, who played a role in murders and gang wars in other cities including Colombo and Jaffna in Sri Lanka.
A few days ago, on his instructions, Jalal rushed to the rescue of three trusted Bhantas who had committed a crime in Sri Lanka and summoned them to Rameswaram in Tamil Nadu by ship. Later, with the help of Mansoor, they went to Bangalore and took refuge in Jai Prakash’s flat. The accused had hatched a plan to temporarily hide in Bangalore for a few days and then go to Jalal’s team Sanjeev in Nepal.
