Madurai: Krishnan hails from Madakulam area of Madurai. He is working as a sales officer in a private company. His wife, Saranya, has applied in Tiruparangunram taluk office asking for a title deed to the land donated by his mother. As there was no action for 3 months, when the Survey Assistant Inspector Premkumar was approached, he allegedly asked for a bribe of Rs.14 thousand. Later, after the negotiation, he asked for a bribe of Rs.10 thousand.
About this, Krishnan has complained to Anti-Corruption Department DSP Sathyaseelan. As advised by the police, when Krishnan went to the taluk office, Premkumar was not there. When Krishna contacted him on the phone, he told him to come to Alagappan Nagar to collect the bribe. Police led by Inspector Kumaraguru have arrested Premkumar, who took a bribe from Krishnan who went there under roadside tree.
