Hyderabad: The officers of Mangalhat Police Station, Ghoshamahal Division, South West Zone, Hyderabad, have apprehended five individuals, including two notorious rowdy sheeters from Mangalhat PS, involved in an attempted murder case near Raheempura Ground, Mangalhat, Hyderabad, within the jurisdiction of Mangalhat PS. The complainant is Surendar Singh, also known as Surru, son of Rajan Singh, aged 33 years, from Hyderabad.

Brief Facts: On June 8, 2024, at 1:00 AM, Surendar Singh, also known as Surru, reported with bleeding injuries that on June 7, 2024, at 10:00 PM, Manmohan Singh (a rowdy sheeter from Mangalhat PS) and his associates attempted to kill him with an axe near Raheempura Ground, Mangalhat, Hyderabad, due to previous grudges. Manmohan Singh, son of Late Eshwarlal, aged 45 years, Shanker Singh, also known as Kala Shanker, son of Munna Singh, aged 26 years, Raju Singh, also known as Joint Raju, son of Late Lakhan Singh, aged 32 years, Kishan Singh, son of Sanju Singh, aged 28 years,and  Pushpuraj Singh, also known as Pushpu or Pupraj, son of Shanker Singh, aged 27 years.

Manish, Dhanraj, Anil (also known as Polo), and Chotu, all from Hyderabad, are absconding. The incident occurred on the night of June 7, 2024, at 10:00 PM near Raheempura Ground, Mangalhat, Hyderabad. The police have seized one axe used in the commission of the crime.

Manmohan Singh has a history of involvement in 33 criminal cases and has been detained under the PD Act four times. Shanker Singh has been involved in eight criminal cases, Raju in three criminal cases, and Pushparaj, also known as Pupraj, in six criminal cases.

Motive: Manmohan Singh is a habitual offender involved in ganja and bodily offenses. His associates Shanker Singh, also known as Kala Shanker, Manish, Dhanraj, Anil (also known as Polo), and Chotu, include Manish, who is Manmohan Singh’s son-in-law, and Dhanraj, his son. Raju Singh, also known as Joint Raju, Kishan Singh, and Pushpuraj Singh, also known as Pushpu or Pupraj, are friends. Surendar Singh, also known as Surru, and the accused, including Manmohan Singh and his associates, live in the same locality and have a history of grudges and enmity. They decided to eliminate Surendar Singh. According to Manmohan Singh’s instructions, Kishan Singh and Pushpuraj Singh provided information about Surendar Singh’s whereabouts, and Manmohan Singh, along with his associates, attacked Surendar Singh.

On June 7, 2024, at around 10:00 PM, based on information from Raju Singh, Kishan Singh, and Pushpuraj Singh, Manmohan Singh, Shanker Singh, Manish, Dhanraj, Anil (also known as Polo), and Chotu proceeded near Raheempura on bikes with an axe and attacked Surendar Singh, causing bleeding injuries to his head and stomach.

On June 10, 2024, at 6:45 AM, based on credible information, Sub-Inspector Shaik Aslam and his team apprehended the accused Manmohan Singh, Shanker Singh, Raju Singh, Kishan Singh, and Pushpuraj Singh at Puranapool Gandhi Statue. They are being produced before the Hon’ble Court.

The case is being investigated by Sub-Inspector Shaik Aslam with the assistance of Mangalhat PS staff, under the close supervision of Inspector M. Mahesh and the guidance of ACP K. Venkat Reddy, Ghoshamahal Division.
