Bihar, Nalanda: On October 26, 2024, Dr. B. Rajender, Principal Secretary of the Sports Department, Government of Bihar, along with Shri Ravindran Shankaran, Director General and Chief Executive Officer of the Bihar State Sports Authority, conducted an inspection of the State Sports Academy and Sports Complex in Rajgir as part of preparations for the upcoming Asian Hockey Champion Trophy (Women) 2024. The tournament is set to take place from November 11 to November 20, 2024, at the State Sports Academy-cum-Sports Complex in Rajgir under the Bihar State Sports Authority, Patna, with teams from six countries—India, China, Malaysia, Japan, South Korea, and Thailand—competing. During the inspection, Dr. Rajender provided essential guidance to the officials involved. The District Magistrate, Superintendent of Police, Deputy Development Commissioner, Municipal Commissioner, Additional Collector, Additional Collector for Disaster, as well as other relevant department and Bihar State Sports Authority officials, were also present.
