Jorabat: Assam Special Task Force (STF) intercepted a truck carrying over half a kilogram of heroin. The raid took place in Jorabat District, opposite to the North East Cancer Hospital.
Inspector Kapil Pathak led the raid, which uncovered 45 soap boxes filled with heroin weighing about 537.2 grams.
Rananjay Mandal, a known drug supplier, was held during the operation while allegedly transporting the narcotics from Nagaland to Guwahati.
The law enforcement authorities are intensifying their efforts to dismantle drug trafficking networks in the region.
