Jammu and Kashmir, Bandipora, April 19, 2025: In a major move against drug trafficking, Bandipora Police have attached assets worth Rs.13.62 lakhs, including a residential house and an Alto car, belonging to a known drug peddler, under the NDPS Act.
The property, owned by Nazir Ahmad Bhat of Kaloosa, was seized following a financial investigation in connection with FIR No. 20/2025 registered under Sections 8/20 of the NDPS Act at Police Station Bandipora. Authorities found that the assets were acquired through proceeds of illegal narcotics trade.
The attachments were carried out under Sections 68-E and 68-F(1) of the NDPS Act, ensuring the seized property cannot be sold or transferred without official approval.
This strong action reflects the unwavering commitment of Jammu & Kashmir Police to eradicate the drug menace and dismantle networks fueling narcotics distribution.
